Bill Kaulitz, the 35-year-old singer of Tokio Hotel, has reportedly come to terms with his upbringing in Sachsen-Anhalt. In a recent episode of the podcast „Kaulitz Hills – Senf aus Hollywood,“ where he discusses various topics with his twin brother Tom, he reflected on the impact of his childhood environment, which was heavily influenced by fear, hatred, and violence.
While he cherishes many positive memories from his youth, he also carries several dark, traumatic experiences. „It was truly a tough place and a difficult youth,“ he admitted.
Struggles with Drugs and Violence
Kaulitz, along with his team, recently traveled to Loitsche, near Magdeburg, for a photo shoot. The community of Loitsche-Heinrichsberg has a population of about 1,000, and many locals came out to take photos with the singer. „I must say, and I think it’s important in life: I have made peace with my hometown,“ Kaulitz stated. His brother Tom added, „But that’s because you’re doing well now.“ He noted that the area had been troubled with issues surrounding drugs and violence, with many individuals dealing drugs.
Tokio Hotel’s Rise to Fame
Nearly 20 years ago, Tokio Hotel achieved massive success with their hit song „Durch den Monsun.“ The band has gained international acclaim, and they are already planning an arena tour for next year, which will include performances in London, Paris, Amsterdam, and several German cities. Tom Kaulitz is married to German supermodel Heidi Klum, and the Kaulitz twins now reside in Los Angeles.
